Projects: The Health Care team will partner with Missionary Ventures in El Porvenir to provide education and basic medical attention to residents in remote mountain villages. The Construction team will build a home for a family, in San Juan Pueblo, while the ministry team offer games and activities to children in the village where the home is being built.
The country of Honduras is approximately the same size as the state of Virginia. The capital of Honduras is Tegucigalpa. Primary exports include banana, pineapple, coffee, and shrimp. The local currency is called the Lempira. Approximately 18 Lempiras = $1.00 US. The average working man earns approximately 100 Lempiras a day or about $5.00 US.
