Jewell cross country runner receives weekly honors from Heart of America

William Jewell first-year cross country runner Jess Connery (Kearney, Mo.) was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Connery took third place at Baker's University’s Maple Leaf Invitational with a time of 15:36 and finished ahead of all other conference opponents. She was the first female first-year finisher at the event.
The cross country team will next participate in the Bearcat Open Saturday, September 12 at the campus of Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, Mo.
