Responsible for overall office management as well as maintaining the budget and payroll of the Charles F. Curry Library.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support for the Director of Curry Library by providing occasional secretarial expertise, drafting and editing budget reports, maintaining budget data information for the library including payroll information for library staff and student library employees.
- Performs necessary functions within Curry Library technical services, including purchase of books, journals subscriptions, electronic databases and other library materials. Tracks expenditures using the Millennium acquisitions module.
- Maintains journal check-in and holdings in Millennium serials module.
- Orders all supplies, software, hardware and equipment for Curry Library.
- Is responsible for all money and deposits at the library circulation desk.
- Collects and forwards to the library archivist any campus newspapers, programs, mailings, etc., for inclusion in the archives of special collections housed in Curry Library.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college desired.
- Three years office related experience with advance knowledge of word processing and data entry necessary, preference given for skills in Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent organization skills. Ability to handle diverse duties with minimum supervision.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment.
