Giving Opportunities

William Jewell College has received significant commitments toward this plan to shape the heart of campus. Two leadership gifts from Kansas City-based foundations illustrate the level of support that exists for this project and for positioning Jewell among the most highly regarded national liberal arts institutions. Jewell has received a pledge of $6 million from the Hall Family Foundation and a pledge of $1 million from the William T. Kemper Foundation.

Jewell is seeking the requisite philanthropic contributions to proceed with the plan to reshape the heart of campus and to continue providing Jewell students with a transformational education as envisioned in the College’s strategic plan. As funding allows, Jewell will begin the construction of a new Library and Learning Commons on the current site where Greene Hall stands.

For question concerning naming rights to the Library and Learning Commons or spaces within the facility, please contact Chad Jolly, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, at jollyc@william.jewell.edu or (816) 415-7567.

William Jewell is designing a modern center for collaboration and engagement in response to the demands of global citizenship in the 21st century and the needs of the 21st century learner.

The College’s new Library and Learning Commons will transform the physical campus, host new programs, provide a technology-rich learning environment and support experiential education across the curriculum.
