WJC 0 Baker 1 in Baldwin City, KS
In a return game versus Baker (Jewell won the first match 2-0), the Cardinals traveled to Ballwin City one day after the varsity squad took a 2-1 victory over the Wildcats. Baker played with a lot of players from the varsity team and came out with a lot of intensity. They set much of the tempo early and played well in the midfield, but did not generate many quality scoring chances in the first half. Jewell took a while to settle into the game, but came around in the second half. Forward Josh Erhardt scored two goals, but both were disallowed by a varsity player serving as a linesman. Baker scored in the 80th minute to go up 1-0 on a goal from the corner of the six-yard box. Prince Adu-Krow almost immediately answered back with a 30-yard arcing shot that was just tipped over the crossbar by the Baker GK.
