Our Promise: William Jewell College is a campus of achievement that promises to offer students an outstanding liberal arts education with a focus on cultivating leadership, service and spiritual growth within a community inspired by rigorous intellectual challenges and Christian ideals.
We value the promise of community to shape us, enriched by our similarities and differences. We value engaging the world. Our vision includes raising and engaging significant questions in pursuit of knowledge and wisdom; and grappling with the meaning and implications of both Christian faith and other perspectives through disciplined and intimate conversations.
William Jewell College’s religious heritage is of the Baptist tradition. The College does not require its students to embrace this heritage or any particular faith expression. The faculty and staff of the College are committed to the mission, promise, values and vision of the College including intellectual and spiritual growth, leadership and service. Because it is committed to spiritual values and Christian maturity, the College offers students many opportunities to explore and express faith in ways unique to their own needs and individual interests.
