The Bowles-Skilling Student Health Center is located on the lower level of Ely Hall inside teh Wellness Center and is open Tuesday-Friday, 8:00 am - 11:00 am.  The campus nurse is available during that time.  The physician, Dr. Dana Granberg, is available at her office at Northland Family Care (located on 81st Terrace behind Gary Crossley Ford, just off NE Church Road) for consultation promptly at 8:00 am, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week and on Friday's by appointment only.  You must be present and signed in just prior to 8:00 am on those designated days to see the doctor.  The center is closed during all campus breaks, including the summer months.

All William Jewell College students who pay activity fees are eligible for on-campus health services.  There is a nominal fee for some medications, immunizations and diagnostic tests.  The Center does not conduct complete physicals.  All students, regardless of age, are required to submit a completed immunization history form for Health Center records.

In the event of an emergency, which requires an ambulance or the fire department, you are advised to call 9-911 (the first 9 is dialed to access an off-campus telephone line), and then notify Campus Security at x1411 or 816-365-0709.

In the event of a non-threatening emergency, call Campus Security at x1411 or 816-365-0709.  The Campus Security staff are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.  During College business hours, you may also contact the Office of Student Affairs at x5213 or x5263.

If you need assistance in getting your meals when you are ill, contact your ARD or RD in the residence hall.  You may also contact the Office of Student Affairs at x5213 or x5263.  A staff member can work with the cafeteria to have your meals ready to pickup by an RD, RA or friend to bring to you.
