Track & Field: Coaching Staff
Ted Graves returns for his fifth season as head men’s and women’s track coach at William Jewell College. Graves (WJC class of 1984) was a four-year letterman in football and track, winning the conference discus championship three times. His teams were also conference champions twice while he was a student at WJC.
Graves began coaching at Cabool, MO and has been an elementary Physical Education teacher in Kearney, MO for 21 years. He served as the head track coach at Kearney High School for 11 of those years, winning seven district titles and two conference championships. Under his guidance, the boy’s team finished in the top-10 five times, with over 60 All-State athletes in all.
Coach Graves’ abilities transcend not only from the track and field and in the classroom, but he also helped raise over $100,000 to construct a new Track & Field complex at Kearney and has overseen the construction of the new throwing events field at Jewell.
Ever since graduating from William Jewell College, Graves has been entrenched in the school. He has served as the assistant coach for the throwing events here since 1998, leading ten National qualifiers in that span. He has also been an assistant football coach since 2002.
Graves is married to Julie and they have two daughters, Rachel and Meredith. The Graves reside in Liberty.

Tom Eisenhauer

Tom Eisenhauer enters his first season as head cross country coach and assistant track & field coach, returning 'home' to his alma mater afer spending a year as a graduate assistant for the Northwest Missouri State University track & field team. Tom graduated from Jewell in 2006 with a degree in History and a minor in Coaching & Performance Enhancement and is currently pursuing an M.S.Ed. degree emphasizing in Health and Physical Education. At Jewell, Tom was a member of the track & field team for four years, competing in the 400m hurdles, 600m, and the 4x400m relay. He was also a member of the cross country team for two. Since graduating, Tom has participated in several road races ranging from 5K to 10 miles. Originally from Manitou Springs, Colorado, Tom has made Liberty a home with his new wife Ashley (2008).
Andy Nordland is in his fourth year of working with the throwers at Jewell. A first team All Class, All State and High School All American selection in both football and track in Clarinda, Iowa. He won multiple indoor and outdoor State of Iowa and Drake Relays titles, was an AAU National Champion and is a former Omaha World Herald High School Athlete of the Year. Going on to Iowa State University he was an All Big Eight thrower and member of the 1988 Big Eight Championship team. He has worked as an athlete assistant at Iowa State's track camp, helped many throwers in the Kansas City area, is a USATF Certified Level I Coach, and is a member of the National Throws Coaches Association.
During Andy's time at Jewell, several throwers have qualified for the NAIA National Championships and also broken school records in the weight throw, hammer, and the discus. Andy and his wife Karla live in Kansas City, North where he has worked in the insurance and real estate business for fifteen years.
Tim Bressman joins the cardinal coaching staff coming off a successful year coaching at Park University. While at Park, Tim coached a team that broke numerous school records and personal records. Tim graduated from William Jewell in December 2007 with a degree in History. He is currently working on his masters of education degree from Rockhurst University. Achievements at Jewell include: -3 Time NAIA National Qualifier -School Record Holder -All Conference Performer -Team Captain
Brad Cox will starting his first season as an assistant for the Cardinals. Cox graduated from Plattsburg High School in 2000 where he was an All-State pole vaulter for two years and competed in sprints and hurdles. He was also captain of the Football and Basketball teams in high school. After graduation he joined the Army, and continued to compete in the 400H and 800M run.
After the 4 years in the Military Cox attended Northwest Missouri State University where he picked up pole vaulting again and lettered. He also coached 3 high school pole vaulters while at NWMSU, for a duration of 2 years.
Cox is married (Bridget) and has one child (daughter Lily), with a second one on the way.
Kevin McDougal enters his first season as an assistant coach at Jewell. McDougal is a graduate of Kearney High School where he was a 7-time state medalist in class 3. In 2000 he led the cross country team to a state title and finished second overall as an individual. He then attended Cowley County Community College from 2001-2003 where he was a 10-time national qualifier, three-time All-American, four-time All Region 16, and 5-time All-Conference Jayhawk East. He then attended Wichita State University from 2003-2005. As a Shocker, McDougal earned All- Conference honorable mention and graduated in 2006 with degree in Sports Administration.
