Garnett M. Peters III Track is one of the area's finest track & field venues boasting an 8 lane, lighted, polyurethene track with 2 long/triple jump runways, 2 polevault runways, a steeplechase water pit, a SprinTurf infield, and ample stadium seating for spectators and competitors.  WJC utilizes the FinshLynx timing system for its events, but other systems can also be used.  A new throwing field has just been completed adjacent to the track featuring a discus ring, 2 shot put rings (allowing the men and women to throw simultaneously), a hammer cage, and a javelin runway is scheduled to be installed in the near future.  Peters Track is the home of the William Jewell College Cardinals and is an excellent facility for both high school and collegiate meets.  It is located on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, near several hotels, motels, and restaurants in the area.  If you would like more information on using the venue, or on any events taking place there, please contact Dr. Jim Redd, Ted Graves, or Tom Eisenhauer in the Track & Field Office at WJC.
