William Jewell volleyball players earn HAAC honors

The William Jewell College volleyball team placed four players on the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.
Outside hitter Hannah Herndon was named to the Heart of America All-Conference first team. Libero Shelly Hendrix was named to the All-Conference second team. Setter Gillian Gauss and middle hitter Morgan Sleeper were named to the All-Conference honorable mention team.
“I am proud of our players,” said head coach Allison Jones. “These four girls, along with our entire team, went through a lot of growing pains this season and I believe we have the potential to be a strong team in years to come.”
The volleyball team ended its season with a 3-1 loss to Benedictine College in the HAAC tournament quarterfinal, finishing the year at 10-24.
