William Jewell women’s soccer players earn HAAC honors

The William Jewell College women’s soccer team placed five players on the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.
Defender Sarah Williams and midfielder Katie Brooks were named to the HAAC All-Conference first team. Midfielders Kathleen Hatfield, Nicole Littell and defender Theresa Noll were named to the All-Conference second team.
“I am proud of the work these girls put into the season in 2008,” said head coach Chris Cissell. “We have had some tough games along the way, and these girls certainly proved they belong among the best players in the HAAC.”
The Cardinals begin the HAAC tournament at home on Monday, November 10 against Benedictine College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Greene Stadium on the campus in Liberty, Mo.
