WJC Women Lose in OT
The William Jewell College women’s soccer team lost only their second game of the season on the road in overtime at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa. Jewell sophomore forward Nicole Revenaugh gave the Cardinals a 1-0 lead before halftime. Unfortunately Revenaugh’s goal was the only Cardinal tally of the night. Grand View scored with 15 minutes remaining in the match and then scored in overtime in a match littered with missed chances for the Cardinals.
“We had control of the match for almost the entire game,” said WJC Head Coach Chris Cissell. “We learned a few things tonight that we will build on for success in the future.”
WJC women’s team will travel to Fulton, Missouri to play William Woods University on Thursday.
