WJC Women’s Soccer Score 4 First Half Goals in 4-0 Win Over MNU

October 7, 2006

The William Jewell College women’s soccer team exploded for four first half goals in a conference home game vs Mid America Nazarene that ended 4-0. Senior defender Megan Penrod scored the first two goals of the game when she headed in a corner kick and then placed a rebound in front of goal. Senior midfielder Sydney Boggess assisted fellow senior midfielder Ashley Tanner for the third goal of the game. Junior midfielder Megan Gray scored with 20 minutes still remaining in the first half complete the scoring in a game dominated by the Cardinals.

“We played a focused first half with speed and confidence,” said WJC Head Coach Chris Cissell. “Everyone pitched in for a solid performance.”
