Chris White, D.M.A.


Adjunct Instructor in Music Music, Music Education

Dr. Chris White is the adjunct professor of low brass, as well as the director of the Jewell Jazz Band. He also assists with the Jewell Symphonic Band. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. In addition to teaching, Dr. White maintains an active performance career. He is the principal trombonist for the Saint Joseph Symphony, The Liberty Symphony, and The Northland Symphony. He has performed with local groups such as the Kansas City Symphony, Fountain City Brass Band and the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra. Dr. White also maintains a strong private lessons studio and an active freelance performing career.
