In the past two years, Jewell students have received Hall enrichment grants for these activities:

  • enroll in an academic study tour in Italy followed by a two-week archaeological dig in Bucharest, Romania
  • complete a two-week course at the Paris College of Art to explore the relationship between word and image
  • conduct qualitative research in Japan on the opinions of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan
  • attend the Fund for American Studies Institute on Comparative Political Economic System in Washington, D.C., and a take course at George Mason University
  • assist in building an earth block compressor and a juvenile justice center in Maverick County, Texas
  • direct a show by Hans Christian Anderson at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland
  • attend the University of Michigan Elementary Mathematics Laboratory to observe the classroom of an  internationally renowned elementary educator 
  • study community development and social justice through a international education exchange in Cape Town, South Africa
  • participate in a two-week American Bach Soloists program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
  • travel to China to work with Global Children’s Vision
