Built in 1980, the Mabee Center for Physical Education is home to Jewell basketball, volleyball and swimming teams. There are four recreation basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, an indoor track, and a student fitness center available to all students. Larry Holley Court is named after men's basketball coach Larry Holley, one of 10 coaches with more than 900 wins in NCAA history.
Luciano Pavarotti made his professional debut in 1973 in the Harriman-Jewell Series. Now in its 57th season, the series brings the best of the performing arts to the Kansas City community. Students can get free tickets to all Harriman-Jewell events.
Pryor Learning Commons
More than a library, more than a place to study, more than a classroom. The Pryor Learning Commons is a three-level facility featuring comfortable spaces in a high-tech environment. The facility features access to online journals and research tools, access to various hardware and software, training labs, a coffee shop, engaging spaces for meetings and classes, digital classroom materials and more.
