During your time at William Jewell College, you’ll have access to amenities that enhance your academic experience. Anything you else might need is just a brief drive away thanks to Jewell’s proximity to Kansas City!
Built in 1980, the Mabee Center for Physical Education is home to Jewell basketball, volleyball and swimming teams. There are four recreation basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, an indoor track and a student fitness center.
Founded in 1965, the Harriman-Jewell Series brings cultural vitality and artistic excellence to the Kansas City performing arts community. Jewell students benefit with free tickets and master classes with critically acclaimed artists.
More than 1,000 performances have come to Kansas City by way of the Harriman-Jewell Series, including 26 American recital debuts by prominent artists, such Luciano Pavarotti in Jewell’s Gano Chapel, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
More than a library, more than a place to study, more than a classroom. The Pryor Learning Commons is a three-level facility featuring comfortable spaces in a high-tech environment. The facility features access to online journals and research tools, access to various hardware and software, training labs, a coffee shop, engaging spaces for meetings and classes, digital classroom materials and more.

At Jewell, we encourage you to exercise your mind and your body. Take advantage of our free Fitness Center in Mathes Hall, open 24/7, which supplements the expansive athletic and fitness facilities in the Mabee Center, also available to all students.
Our fitness and weight equipment is open for your use 24/7. Cardio equipment is wired for cable television, or you may opt to bring your own device to plug into the TVs. The Center is also equipped with locker rooms.
