A new exhibit, "The Black Gaze — Artwork by Harold Smith," is on display in the Ruth E. Stocksdale Gallery of Art in Brown Hall from Jan. 6-Feb. 26. The exhibit includes large-scale paintings, mixed media and sculptural work. It also mixes new and older work to showcase Harold’s diverse styles. An opening reception with the artist will be held after the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration program (roughly 1:30 p.m.) on Jan. 20 at the gallery. This reception will also include a showing of Harold’s most recent documentary, “The Gospel According to Glenn North.” The Stocksdale Gallery is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and Saturdays by appointment.
