Jewell Phi Gamma Delta chapter takes second in international Condon Cup

The Zeta Phi chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) at William Jewell College was awarded second place for the organization’s Condon Cup among all North American chapters.

The award is given to the undergraduate chapter among 158 chapters with the greatest improvement in the past academic year in scholarship, extracurricular activities and fraternity relationships. The award is named after Herbert Thomas Condon Sr., a faculty member from the University of Washington, and was first established in 1952.

The Zeta Phi chapter is the oldest Greek organization on Jewell’s campus, established in 1886, and the eighth oldest chapter in the United States and Canada. According to Hayden Fulk, Zeta Phi president, the chapter received a “leading” rating from the evaluating field secretary, marking the highest rating a chapter can receive.
