Kiplinger’s names Jewell among “Best Values in Colleges”

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has placed William Jewell College on an elite list of schools that offer a high-quality education at an affordable price.

The magazine placed William Jewell College among 400 public, private and liberal arts colleges named “Best College Values” of 2019. Jewell ranked 121st among liberal arts colleges.

Kiplinger’s studied roughly 1,200 four-year public and private colleges and universities, using weighted rankings for quality and cost criteria. The most points in quality criteria were awarded for four-year graduation rates, because “graduating on time helps keep costs down,” the magazine said. Cost criteria included affordable sticker prices, generous financial aid and low student debt at graduation.
