In addition to the materials outlined by the Office of Admission, Oxbridge applicants should submit the following:

  • Two recommendations from academic sources—people who know your academic work and can attest to your achievement and promise
  • The Oxbridge Application
  • The Oxbridge essay using 250-500 words, please respond to ONE of the following prompts:
    How should thought and emotion figure in choices?
    Can animals other than humans cherish things? Explain.
    What’s mystery got to do with science? Explain.
    Agree or disagree? Explain. “If I had to choose between betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country.” – E. M. Forster

To be a candidate for the Oxbridge Honors Program, a student must complete an application to William Jewell College. Upon Jewell acceptance, the Oxbridge Committee will review your application and select candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview with a panel of Oxbridge faculty.
