The Music Studies minor is designed for students who want to continue studying and making music without pursuing a full music degree. Build your musicianship through courses in music theory, ear training, history, analysis and composition while staying actively involved in performance.
As a Music Studies minor, you’ll:
- Explore music across historical periods, cultures and traditions.
- Develop skills in music theory, analysis and composition.
- Participate in at least three ensembles.
- Connect your interest in music with your primary field of study.
The minor complements majors across the liberal arts, sciences, business, education and other disciplines, giving you a flexible way to keep music an active part of your college experience.
