Pryor Legacy Project

The Pryor Class of 2026 is partnering with William Jewell College to support the renovation of Mathes Gym (lower level of Mathes Hall, formerly Ely Hall), a space that has long held significance for the Jewell community.

Mathes Gym is one of the few spaces on campus where students can consistently invest in their physical health, mental well-being and personal discipline. For many students, it provides an important outlet for stress, routine and growth. For Pryor in particular, this project also connects directly to the program’s pillar of fitness. Leadership is strengthened by discipline, resilience and stewardship of the whole person, and Mathes is a space that helps cultivate those qualities. By investing in its renovation, we hope to preserve an important part of campus life while continuing to support the development of strong, healthy student leaders.

Our class is leading a student-driven fundraising effort to help make this renovation possible. While the College is able to assist with repairs, our goal is to raise the funds ourselves as a meaningful act of leadership and stewardship. Our total fundraising goal is $20,000, and reaching $10,000 would be a major step toward accomplishing this vision.

Most importantly, all donations will be matched by a generous donor. Every dollar contributed will go twice as far, giving each gift an even greater impact on the future of this project.

Thank you for your support!
