Michael Stoll, Ph.D.


Associate Professor of Education and Chair Education - Curriculum and Instruction (M.S.Ed.), Education - Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education, Secondary Education

Dr. Stoll’s main research interests are in the areas of literacy and thinking in the disciplines, social studies education and curriculum development. A former secondary teacher, he has worked in schools in the Chicago, New York City, and Kansas City metropolitan areas and currently collaborates with teachers to design and implement innovative social studies curricula and pedagogies in K-12 settings. He is co-author of Teaching Recent Global History: Dialogues among Historians, Social Studies Teachers, and Students (Routledge, 2014) as well as journal articles and conference presentations on social studies education topics.
