Ruth Williams, Ph.D.

Dr. Williams holds a B.A in English from Wheaton College, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University, and a Ph.D. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Cincinnati. She is the author of two poetry collections, Flatlands (Black Lawrence Press, 2018) and Conveyance (Dancing Girl Press, 2012). Her poetry has appeared in Michigan Quarterly Review, jubilat, Pleiades and Third Coast among others. She has also published creative nonfiction in DIAGRAM and South Loop Review. Her scholarly work on women’s writing and feminism appears in Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature, The Journal of Popular Culture, Michigan Feminist Studies and College Literature. Dr. Williams teaches U.S. literature and creative writing.
